The primary job of the Entities with Essence based skill sets is to break down the mana flow to a more user friendly spell based system. Entities of more specialized types divert the converted energy into spells that fit within their domain.
For example, the Entity of Magic breaks down the flow into allotments to be filtered by each Entity involved in the basic magic sphere of influence. The Entity of Fire uses the magic allotted to grant the useage of fire based spells. The Entity of Necromancy would use the magic allotted to grant the usage of necromancy based spells. Unless there is some sort of a problem, most Entities do not need to concentrate on their job and can do it unconciously.
Most Entities fall under the arcane flow.
Entities with more obscure skill sets such as Fertility, Thievery, and Dragons, use magic from the flow to more directly interact with their chosen interests. Primarilly, these Entities help the Entity of Magic regulate the flow with those that have not adopted a skillset.
