10/24. 0543- Storm of Tharisduul

After ten years of war, Emperor Zarionel L'Sheriss successfully claimed the druegar fortress at Tharisduul, creating a fortified barrier between the underdark and Telrylna.

08/14. 0546- The Fall at Tharisduul

The druegar's third counter attack involved tunneling under the initial barriers and utilizing a secret enterence within the fortress. Emperor Zarionel led the reenforcements. The druegar were ready for that, too, and collapse the tunnel from above, splitting the group into two groups, one larger, one smaller. The Emperor was part of the smaller group, and although outnumbered at least twelve to one, the group killed some eighty percent of the enemy.Imperial Bondmate Evenstar was cut down, the sending the Emperor into an uncontrolable berserk rage. Empress Aurora was killed by a spearman trying to get to her Bondmate's side. At her death, the Emperor's rage no longer included self preservation. He was killed moments later, cut nearly in two; the axe stopped by the blade of an Empire soldier, part of the larger group who had finally removed the rubble and come to regroup. Upon learning of the death of Emperor Zarionel and finding the situation too far gone for her alone to remedy, General Riara Starshine made the decision to retreat back to the surface and await orders fromEmperor Averon L'Sheriss.

08/20. 0546- Reclaimation of Tharisduul

Emperor Averon wasted no time in avenging his father's death. Taking far more troops than needed to retake Tharisduul, he did not stop until he had annihilated the closest druegar city as a vehement reminder of the destructive capabilities of the empire. The Empire had no further problems with the intelegent beings of the underdark for the duration of its existance.
