Essence

Banell is all things a physical. If it is a mundane thing, or magic that has tangible form, it falls within his aspect. He is both the body and the body's capability to react to its surroundings, all of the senses. Without him, there would be no physical world.

Banell is the Gatekeeper of the Barrier.

Self

The third of the Firstborn, High Lord Banell Epsolil of Leresen, Essence of Physicality, is often refered to as the Essence of Pain. This is because he is a sadomasochist and not entirely sane. He is only sadistic with willing partners, enemies, or condemned prisoners and has a surprisingly kind disposition. Now that he is married to L'Ryenn, he is sane much more often than not and is more careful about the damage he does to himself. His masochism stems from a need to feel, rather it be fairly tame pleasure or excruciating pain, he prefers the stronger.

He has three children, Ritthith, Shist and Senna.

Ritthith is technically Raderos' son as Banell's wife at the time seduced and raped him at at their wedding party. She continued to betray and manipulate her way around until she was finally caught. Banell stayed her execution until after she had the baby. Banell raised Ritthith as his own with no one else knowing the child belonged to his brother. No one questioned as to why Ritthith looked very much like Raderos, perhaps because they didn't want to know. Ritthith was told much later in his life, but he considers Banell to be his father rather or not he biologically is. Shist was mostly raised by his brother as Banell was not well. A troubled young man, Shist killed himself and could not be coaxed to return. Many cycles later, he was reborn with a twin sister, Senna, to his parents once again. This time, however, he had happiness.
