Soristacia was a nation of humans that had successfully taken over the lands around them hundreds of years prior. Ruled by Queen Saphira Sorista, they looked at these strange warrior elves as similar to themselves. Queen Saphira sought to marry their people by marrying their leadership.
Taking great offense at being turned down by Emperor Averon for the third time, the war declaration stated that when Soristacia won, she would claim both the land of the Empire as well as its Emperor. His reply stated "First, my people do not marry for political reasons. Secondly, I am already married. Thirdly, you are neither the species nor the gender to spark my interest. Lastly, you have now angered me. When we meet, hope that you have something to offer that is worth more than your life."
