Kuith Miiir

Wood elves are a passionate race, but sometimes a wood elf is born where their passions go overboard. The term "Kuith Miiir" translates as "Living Passion", sometimes mistakenly translated as "Living Love". A Kuith Miiir feels emotions much more strongly than most, and sometimes the elf's eyes will change with their mood. Color of eye changes vary with the individual, although eyes turning black are always indicators of extreme anger, bordering on murderous intent. If a Kuith Miiir is feeling only one passion at a given time, they can go fully into that emotion, basically becoming a living embodiment of said emotion. Most who know a little about Kuith Miiir think about one who feels love, as they become VERY passionate lovers during that time.

A Kuith Miiir usually cannot lie convincingly, though an inability to tell a convincing lie is not, in and of itself, an indication of being a Kuith Miiir. It is more that they feel emotions so purely, they have problems telling less than pure truth. A Kuith Miiir who attempts to lie on their own usually ends up telling a story that a toddler could see through, however, if another person gives them very detailed information to use in a lie, they can support that story if they feel it is needed.

However, if the individual feels an emotion for long without being able to either counter the emotion or satisfy it, insanity can result, though normally this is temporary. If it continues without resolution, it can become permanent. The only known way to prevent this, or to bring a Kuith Miiir back from a temporary insanity, is to have them kiss the person they love most. Permanent insanity generally occurs if the Kuith Miiir goes so far into it that they no longer recognize that person. Oftentimes, the Kuith Miiir will not want to stop at merely kissing, but it will not cause them harm to deny further intimacy if necessary (inappropriate locations, presence of others whom the Kuith Miiir may be ignoring, etc).

Wood elves generally do not tell non-wood elves about the existance of Kuith Miiir, unless the person has a legitimate reason to know, such as if the Kuith Miiir's true love is of another race. Most feel honor-bound to protect the Kuith Miiir from other races who may take advantage of them. Several wood elves do consider the Kuith Miiir to be one of the best allies they could have in a fight, as long as they make sure they do nothing to anger the Kuith Miiir themselves.
