The Realms
Tesserapta: The First Realm
The first creation outside of the Source, Tesserapta grew in size quickly as it had access to the entire magic flow. Its growth slowed on the creation of Serapta and eventually stopped as when the second realm matched its size.
Serapta: The Second Realm
Ocassionally called the mirror realm
as until Legaia was created, it was side by side with Tesserapta and has a similar Entity political structure.
Legaia: The Third Realm
Legaia is the final realm, created at the end of the Shen Incident as a trine with Serapta and Tesserapta to become the third wall of the Source, enclosing the Barrier. Legaia was created entirely by Toan while Starfire closed the many dimensional rifts opened in the conflict.
Legaia is where most of the Essences reformed (with the exception of Trae) after the Shen Incident, several as Firstborn.
The Source
Originally where Toan and Starfire recognized conciousness, and eventually where the Essences were given form, the Source is not a part of any realm. It is the center of energy where the three realms pull their mana from and is only accessable by the Essences or someone being sheilded by an Essence. The Peak of Mana in each realm is directly connected to the Source.
The Barrier
The Barrier is an area about the size of a small planet, entirely enclosed by the Source and accessable through a single point known as the Gate. It was created to contain the malign Essence, Shen, and powerful souls too corrupted to be reborn until they naturally decay and are reabsorbed into the source.
In a sense, the Barrier is similar to the abyssal planes. The corrupt souls are generally referred to as demons, and though there is no punishment there except for the original banishment from the realms, the demons fight for power amongst themselves and make their own existance unpleasant. Oftentimes, the decayed soul energy is absorbed by the others before it reaches the Source.
The Gatekeeper, Banell, is the only one that can leave once within the Barrier without interference from Toan or Starfire.
Each Realm has a similar place of a lesser degree that serves a comparable purpose. The residents of these 'Hells' can be summoned by powerful mortals. Unlike those pulled from the abyssal planes, these creatures return immediately if the link to the summoner is severed.
